Rural Voice Agriculture Conclave & Awards

The Rural Voice Agriculture Conclave & Awards is our annual flagship event as a premier platform that brings together policymakers, agricultural scientists, industry leaders, farmers’ organizations, agribusiness companies, startups, researchers, and rural development experts to discuss the future of Indian agriculture and the rural economy.

The conclave serves as a forum for meaningful dialogue on key issues shaping the agriculture sector, including food security, sustainable farming, climate resilience, agri-technology, fertilizers, seed innovation, natural farming, water management, agricultural trade, rural entrepreneurship, and government policy reforms.

Through panel discussions, keynote sessions, policy dialogues, and interactive engagements, the event highlights both opportunities and challenges facing Indian agriculture in a rapidly changing economic and environmental landscape. Since 2021, five editions of the Rural Voice Agriculture Conclave & Awards have been organized.

Rural Voice also recognizes the importance of inclusive growth by amplifying the voices of farmers, rural entrepreneurs, agricultural scientists, women leaders, and young innovators who are driving transformation at the grassroots level.

With participation from leading national and international experts, the conclave has emerged as a trusted knowledge-sharing platform focused on promoting sustainable agriculture, rural prosperity, and long-term development for India’s farming sector.

Apart from the Rural Voice Conclave, Rural Voice organises discussions and dialogues on policy issues related to agriculture and the rural sector across the country in association with stakeholders, government organisations, and think tanks working in these sectors.

Experts at the Rural Voice Agriculture Conclave & Awards 2025 stressed that India cannot achieve self-reliance in agriculture without substantially increasing R&D investment. They highlighted the need for technology to address labour shortages, improve productivity and compete globally. Speakers also flagged quality issues in exports, weak infrastructure, slow decision-making, and the absence of a coherent national agricultural policy, urging closer collaboration between government, private sector and cooperatives.

A national consultation on the Sustainable Sugarcane Economy was organised on 30 September, 2025 at NASC Complex, New Delhi by Rural Voice, a media organisation dedicated to agriculture and rural sector and the National Federation of Cooperative Sugar Factories (NFCSF) Ltd in association with Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmers' Welfare and Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chouhan was Chief Guest and addressed the conference.
