Rural Voice, a media organisation dedicated to agriculture and the rural sector, along with the Indian Federation of Green Energy (IFGE), is organizing a special session on “From Farm to Fuel: Building a Bioenergy Ecosystem” on the sidelines of the 2nd Edition of India Bioenergy & Tech Expo: An International Conference and Exhibition on Bioenergy and Technologies (IBET Expo 2025).

Bioenergy is emerging as a key pillar in India’s clean energy transition, reducing fossil fuel dependence while supporting rural incomes. Ethanol and biodiesel blending, CBG, and waste-to-energy programs are there to promote biofuels. Ethanol blending has grown from 1.53% in 2014 to 15% in 2024, with a 20% target by 2025.
